WHAT ED BELIEVES

MISD must focus on math, science, American and Texas history, as well as the skills to prepare for 21st century jobs. Our emphasis must be on core academics, not DEI, CRT, SEL, or politically-correct policies.

Tax dollars should not be used to fund woke private associations that promote bathroom policies which put our children’s safety at risk, or calls concerned parents domestic terrorists.

Parents must have knowledge of what their child is being taught. There must be nothing hidden, including student surveys.

Teachers deserve competitive salaries. I have always voted for competitive salaries for teachers.

Half, or more, of our property tax bill is for MISD. I will continue to work to make it lower. Lower taxes mean teachers and taxpayers keep more of what they earn.

Taxpayer-funded junkets by administration and Board members to private association outings must stop. Over burdened taxpayers should not be forced to pay for registration, travel , hotel, etc., for Trustees to attend private association meetings.

I will work to stop the MISD from deducting 10% of teacher's TIA state awarded bonus to teachers.

I've successfully fought to pass MISD policy that identities boys from girls.

I successfully fought to repeal the horrible raciest MISD resolution of June 5, 2020. It said that MISD is a racist district and was approved 6 to 1.
